The Charolais herd have been bred for soundness
and calving ease. The cows are mated from mid October til late December
and calve on hill country. The average weaning weight of calves is around
330Kg in March.
We began conducting embryo transplants
with some of our best cows in 1993, and results have improved over the
years with technology and practises. We do some AI, and naturally mate
the bulk of the herd.
Highcliffs Isere by Bea Cool
is a 1000Kg cow. She is a beautifully proportioned poled cow and has a
number of progeny in the herd.
Highcliffs Leonora is another solid
1000Kg cow that has produced progeny of outstanding quality in the herd.
Merchant Ideal is by Appolin

Sale around 1992). She has bred magnificently, is the dam of a number
of progeny including Highcliffs Magician (trait leader 400 days).
